But why pay $499 when Lulu does it for $99 and Createspace apparently does it for free? I bet they are charging for formatting and conversion, which we can do ourselves.

Thanks for the info on lulu; the video I am posting as a response is about Infinity Publishing. I’ll post another vid after reading more about them. The price-per-copy is relatively low ($5 up to 96 page, about $8 for 300), but they have a $499 setup fee that includes ISBN and color cover (perfect bound).
So… more later.
