Not long after “On Writing” came out, I read it and enjoyed it. I like real-life stories of overcoming obstacles and stuff. I need to read ity agin, re-stimulate my creative juices.
That reminds me of “Patch Adams” (okay, its a stretch, but hear where I’m going). Although I don’t want to do anything medical, it is a positive story–

Thanks for kind words, man. Overcoming the fear of rejection, eh? I’ve written a few articles on my blog that you might find useful. You’ll find them if you scroll down to categories and click “Writing Tips”.
The big catalyst for me was reading Stephen King’s “On Writing.” Right after reading that, I wrote and finished my first novel-sized project (took a year, but learned the stickability). King’s book gave me the tools and the confidence I needed. Totally recommend it.
